Dr. Chris Stravitsch, President

“In response to the need for Catholic counseling, our parish has partnered with Rejoice Counseling Apostolate to provide healing and hope to those who experience suffering in their lives. We endeavor to strengthen marriages, individuals and families through this faith-based Catholic counseling ministry.

“I believe that professional counseling can be a great benefit by addressing a need to be healed and restored while implementing the Catholic faith, teachings and morals into the many complex issues we face today.”

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: Teenage Girls Support Group

The adolescent years can be the most challenging times in a young person’s life. Teenagers today face all kinds of struggles, including low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. To help teen girls thrive during this time of their lives, Rejoice Counseling Apostolate is offering a 5-week group to provide a safe environment for girls to grow in self-knowledge, foster their strengths, learn about healthy relationships, embrace a life of joy, and see themselves as made in the image and likeness of God—for they are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). The small group will meet from 7:00-8:30pm on October 11, 18, 25, and November 8 & 15. Participation is free for parishioners of St. Bartholomew and open to girls aged 13-18 yrs. It will be led by one of our Parish Counselors, Kelsey Johnson, MA, LPC Intern. To register, parents can contact Dr. Chris Stravitsch at [email protected]
