Meet Dr. Lea…
Laurel “Lea” Fauster, PhD, LMFT
Dr. Lea Fauster is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education at Sam Houston State University. She earned a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University and an M.S. in Psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio.
Dr. Lea believes every person deserves to be heard and that therapy should be tailored to the needs of whomever she is journeying with—individuals, couples, or families. Dr. Lea is a Narrative therapist and approaches therapy from a Humanistic lens. She believes that by tailoring therapy to your needs, being honest, loving, and open…great things can happen quickly!
Dr. Lea is a retired Police Officer who served the community in law enforcement for nearly 20 years. As a result, she has a great deal of experience helping people with trauma and issues related to Law Enforcement, Veterans, and First Responders. She co-founded a program for those on the Autism Spectrum, and tutored specifically Autism/Learning Disabilities for many years. She also works with actors and musicians on performance, anxiety, stage presence, and public speaking. Dr. Lea and her family are parishioners of St. Ann Catholic Church.
